Light the Night - New York City

This evening we'll be walking in the  Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night NYC event. Despite the potential for rain, we have a great team representing Life's a Beach. Below is a pic of our banner, and the pics I submitted for the walk route.

Thanks, Team Captain Erin, for your awesome artistic vision
and trip to the Dollar Store.

  1. Hi Shelley, I stumbled on to your blog today while researching nadir information after my daunirubicin treatment in the hospital last week. I was diagnosed with APL on May 11 and spent 26 days in the hospital, endured the 50 days of arsenic this past summer and am recovering from the first of two trips to the hospital for what my friends call "the orange Gatorade". I also had a view of the local football stadium from my room in the Houston Medical Center - the location of my son's graduation on June 8, 2013. I could relate to a lot of your experiences except the sad loss of your beloved angel. Hang in there with the ATRA - you mst have beautiful skin

  2. So sorry to hear you've been going through this. It sucks. So you're just about a year behind me. Are you on Facebook? If so, I can add you to our small, on-line support group. Would love to be in touch. Attending your son's graduation next summer will be such a triumphant, in multiple ways!

  4. If you friend me on Facebook, I'll add you. I didn't see your name in Facebook when I searched, but you should be able to find me.
